Doug Leigh has coached figure skating for over 40 years. Early in his career he coached with the Huntsville Skating Club as a prequel to an illustrious career spanning all levels of competition. After winning the junior silver medal at the Canadian championship in 1966, Doug Leigh hung up is skates as a competitor and shortly thereafter returned to the ice as a coach. A great motivator and a positive outlook he demands the best from his skaters. The results have been nothing short of excellence: multiple World and Olympic medalists, coached at over 35 Canadian championships, coached at 26 World Championships and 6 Winter Olympics.
