In 2005 Jim Meredith was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame. As a Huntsville minor lacrosse player, Jim Meredith was a key member of seven Ontario championship teams and the 1971 Canadian championship peewee B Hawks. Moving into junior lacrosse, Jim played seen years, including three for the Huntsville Jr. C Hawks from 1974-76 winning the OLA scoring championship all three years. In 1977-78 Jim Meredith moved up to the Jr. A ranks with the Rexdale Warriors. In 1979-80 he returned to Huntsville where Meredith was OLA Jr. B scoring champion in both years. Jim Meredith had a lengthy major/senior professional lacrosse career playing for famous lacrosse icons such as the Victoria Shamrocks, the Brooklin Redmen, Brantford Warriors and the Detroit Turbo. Along the way he played on Mann Cup champions in 1978 and 1988 with the Brooklin Redmen and was awarded the Mike Kelly MVP award in the 1987 Mann Cup. Jim Meredith also has an extensive field lacrosse resume, notably with Canadian champion Victoria Seaspray and as a member of Canada’s all-Canadian team.
