Dan Shirtliff

Dan Shirtliff

Dan Shirtliff’s love and passion for racing started from a young age. He grew up in the racing world with his father racing at the CNE. Dan got his first race car at the young age of 15, even before he had his driver’s license. This required his father’s permission to race.

Dan started his racing career in the hobby division and was champion in 1974. He then moved to racing late model stock cars.

In 1976, Dan moved to Huntsville, where he started his family and automotive business while at the same time building a race car in the garage of his home.

For 8 years he raced in the CASCAR circuit, racing coast to coast and winning many races and personal awards.

In 1996 he won the National and Eastern Championship.

Dan retired from racing in 1998.

Racing is in his blood and he loves to take in races any time he can.
