I came to Huntsville in 1971 and practiced dentistry until 1990. During my time here I was on Town Council for 10 years, 8 of which were as Mayor. In the 1980’s I was involved with the building of the Centennial Centre with the new swimming pool and arena, the Lookout track and field, McCulley Robertson park with two new ball diamonds, Fairy Vista trail, the Riverside and Kent Parks. In 1990 I chaired the build of the Library and in 2004 I built the Chrysalis Women’s Shelter and apartments.

From 2007 to 2014 I was involved with building River Mill Park, Town Dock Park, Flag Park, Rotary Garden, the Summit Centre and Active Living Centre, Forbes Hill Drive, the Waterloo building, Conroy Park and the Pitman’s Bay rebuild.

In the private sector I was involved with the Hanes Road commercial area including the Swiss Chalet, 2 residential subdivisions and Muskoka Commerce Park as well as Blackburn’s Landing and townhouses. Currently I am involved with the Paisley Centre and the Grandview property.
