Ginger worked tirelessly to improve sports venues, sports events and availability for kids and adults to participate in local sports. He was also prominent in building exposure for minor sports, junior hockey and lacrosse, old tiers hockey organization, Muskoka curling bonspiel and the Duke of York Boat Races.
Ginger was best known for his continued dedication, volunteering as the “Official Timekeeper” for events at the Huntsville arena for many, many years. Being woven into the sports fabric of Huntsville and a fan of all sports, R.T. “Ginger” Davies was an important part of making Huntsville a sports centre.
