Jeff Allen

Jeff Allen was born in Yarmouth Nova Scotia in 1985. He was involved it martial arts at a young age training in taekwondo. He moved to Huntsville in 2000 and attended Huntsville high school. Shortly after highschool he met his wife Crystal.

They got married and had a baby boy Lucas. Lucas joined Judo at the Huntsville Judo club in 2012 as a new hobby. Jeff’s wife Crystal suggested for Jeff to try it as well as a father son activity and immediately it became a big part of their lives. Three months after joining Jeff and Lucas competed in their first competition and they were hooked.

Jeff and his family traveled all over Canada and the US competing and training. In 2015 Jeff won his first National Championship in Quebec. Shortly after he traveled with his family to Amsterdam to fight in the World Masters Judo Championship taking 8th place. Since then, Jeff has won 3 Canadian and 6 USA National championships, 2 fourth place world masters finishes and a Bronze medal at the World Masters Judo Championships in Fort Lauderdale in 2016. Jeff was the first ever Canadian Newaza Grand Championship in 2019 and was awarded his Batsugan Black Belt by Judo Canada for his success in Canada and all over the world. As of 2022 Jeff has brought home to his town of Huntsville 63 gold 28 silver 10 bronze and 3 Outstanding athlete awards. Jeff credits his supporting wife and 2 children Lucas and Ayla for all his success and love for Judo, having them at every competition by his side supporting him and cheering him on.
