As a summer student working at Deerhurst, Tiffany Finley-Tsuyuki was ‘bit’ by the wake-boarding ‘bug’. By the time she her career was finished, Tiffany had become the Ontario wakeboarding champion for five consecutive years, from 1998-2003. During that span, Tiffany also became the Canadian national women’s wakeboarding champion and Canadian open champion from 1999-2001. In 2000 and 2001, Tiffany Finley-Tsuyuki’s exploits were recognized by her sport as she was named Waterski Wakeboard Canada’s female athlete of the year. In the years 2000 and 2001, she was the X-Cup series cham-pion, and in 2002 was the Wakestock amateur women’s champion. In 2003 Tiffany finished second in the Wakestock World Cup pro women. Internationally, Tiffany finished fourth amongst amateur women in the 1998 WWA wakeboard world championships. In 2000, Tiffany returned to the worlds and finished second amongst amateur women. In 2001, the third try was the charm, as Tiffany Finley-Tsuyuki won the amateur women’s WWA world wakeboarding championship! In 2003, Tiffany Finley-Tsuyuki finished second in the Wakestock world cup amongst pro women. Following 2003, Tiffany retired from com-petition, but rest assured, every summer she still gets ‘bitten by the wakeboarding bug!’
