Introduced in 2021, the Peter Jacob Memorial Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant, long-term and recognizable contribution to a sport organization or organizations in the community
To be eligible for the Peter Jacob Memorial Award, the nominee must:
- be 18 years of age;
- live in the municipality of Huntsville;
- and/or made his or her contribution directly in the municipality of Huntsville;
- has made a long-term contribution as a volunteer that has aided or benefited the Huntsville sports/recreation community in such a way that contributed to the well-being and enjoyment of others
