Named after the founder of the Hall of Fame, the Mike Greaves Award was introduced in 2015 and is presented to the Male Sports Personality of the Year in the community.
To be eligible for the Mike Greaves Memorial Award, the nominee must:
- be 18 years of age;
- live in the municipality of Huntsville;
- and/or made his or her contribution directly in the municipality of Huntsville;
- has made an ongoing contribution as a volunteer that has aided or benefited the Huntsville sports/recreation community in such a way that contributed to the well-being and enjoyment of others
